HP Difference between 2003 and 2006 coupe?

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to the scene, and I have 2 questions. I tried using the search and found nothing on this.

I have a 2003 coupe 5 speed auto, and I am confused as to my HP rating.

Do I have 260 hp? or 282 hp?

Second question, what is the difference in the 298 hp manual coupe and mine?

Is it chipped? Better flowing exhaust?

I know they revised the SAE hp ratings around 2005, and I'm not sure if these hp numbers were adjusted to reflect this change, or if they actually did some genuine changes to the engine that increased hp and performance.

I know it's a small difference in hp, and I probably couldn't tell the difference between the two in terms of performance.

I'm I beating a dead horse?

You have 280 HP.

The difference is simply a slightly different design in intake and the gearing ratio. thats what gives it a slightly different HP rating.
Of course im sure there are a few other things that bump up the power but this is my 2 cents....
