pressure test your coolant system and see if you have any leaks.

 

My car has the same problems, and my awesome mechanic saw that the 'air relief plug' by the heater hose (towards the back of the engine, passenger side) was busted. $25 part, cheap labor...

My car was over heating and the heater was not blowing out warm air....

Anyone else check to see if this was the problem?

Symptom: Coolant is missing (i would say 3-5 shot glass..alcohol shot glass ...) . I would need to fill every 2-3 days. If the car is idiling or in traffic, the coolant would drip more & temperature gauge goes close to the H but goes back to normal if the car is moving (no traffic or idiling)

Did you experience those symptom?

 

is there a way for us to check the heater hose in the hot weather? i know there was some saying about turning the heater on & it doesn't blow any hot air or something like that..

 

I put new radiator new water pump new thermostat new fan new fan clutch and still overhead the fan come on and everything please help

 

Take it to Nissan for them to troubleshoot. Probably needs to be burped properly.

 

After replacing the thermostat, mass air flow sensor (needed to be changed anyway), and the radiator it was still overheating exactly the way Eric described above. About a day later after bleeding the system about 5 times hoping we didn't have to change the water pump we finally got our mechanic to take a look and he said it could be the fan clutch. We changed it and so far no problems. I don't trust it still but after reluctantly abusing the engine on the highway and on side streets my temp seems to be fine. I'm going to update if anything changes because at this point I can't figure out what else could be causing it, there are countless factors and it's a crappy problem to have. I love this car to no end so I'm really hoping she pulls through.

 

After driving 183.7 miles I'm having zero problems. Again I appreciate everyone on this thread, without it I'd be screwed.

 

It's a great feeling when a nagging problem is finally fixed for good isn't it? Glad everything's back to normal and you can drive trouble free!
