oil cooler ~ $$

Need to replace oil cooler. split weld leaking oil. have been told part is just over $500. sound right? Would it be okay to go $100 cheaper, and get part from, say Stillen, etc. or should I not cut corners on this.

Don't cut corners, get the Arc oil cooler instead. Comes with its very own interfooler.

You can build your own oil cooler from summitracing for around $100 with AN fittings and stainless steel lines.

regarding oil cooler. (this car has done nothing but make me smile) when I checked the oil MYSELF, after taking it to local mechanic twice ($$) I pushed in the funky dipstick ALL THE WAY, and no more oil leaking all over garage floor every night............

ARC makes great products, but doesn't it cost a buttload compared to other products that can do the job just as well?

PS. great looking car man!

Oil coolers are super basic and can be bought at any autoparts store. Like someone mentioned before, www.summitracing.com has tons of options.

It's a rip off. You can get a full assembly for $350 includes lines, cooler, sandwich plate.

I purchased my oil cooler with remote filter off Ebay 4 years ago for $135.00. I've had no issues with it just has to shorten some of the hoses.

I made my own remote Trans Cooler setup using parts from summit.

Do not buy the ARC oil cooler setups, overpriced and just paying for a name.

Yep, you're right on the cost. They're 2-3x the price of other comparable products and do the exact same thing. I still like it for the exclusivity though, it really depends on the buyer.

Unfortunately that's not my car in the picture, although mine does look the same minus the Arc oil cooler.

I'll sell you a rock from my front yard. You'll be the only one with it

I'll buy it from you only if it will impress random people on the internet and from car meets whom I will never see again.

Here's something pretty cool I stumbled upon, a cooler with a built-in fan and thermostat to activate it at the right temp.

Are you kidding? I'm already impressed. What else you got in your yard?
