Engine Won't Crank

Hi all...been a bad week. Just had my car towed in last week because it hydro locked after hitting some standing water. No damage but between the tow and the diagnostics 300.00. Got the car back yesterday and it drives fine, park the car for 2 hours and car won't crank...just the clicking noise. Put the charger on it for 30 minutes and the car started. last night put the charger on it at trickle charge and this morning went out and same thing. I tested the battery and it showed OK on the hydrometer. I got another charger with a start function (100 amps start) and just get the clicking again. Any suggestions? I can't afford to have this thing towed in again!

what year is your car?

Replace the battery. I think that is your problem even though it tested out fine. It happens. If you take it to checker/autozone they will do a load test on the battery. Either way, 4-5 years is about the life of a car battery.
