AWD counterweights falling off

There appears to be a stack of counterweights, 7 pieces each about 2 by 4 inches welded together and hanging from a rubber snubber bolted to the transfer case of my AWD automatic transmissioned G35 2006. The bottom two fell off due to rusting and was wondering anyone else have this happen. At first I thought there was a mounting bracket gone, but does not seem to be the case. I am reluctant to go to the dealer as mine has not been that great.
