Wow, that's great news, thanks dias724. I did mention the transmission valve body in my first and subsequent post... but I was kinda afraid of a huge repair like replacing the transmission valve body... Thank God it's covered by powertrain warranty. I should be covered, I'm an 2006 5AT with 55,000kms on it. Pretty low I suppose..

dias724, did you have to pay for anything at all? For example, their "diagnosis" or whatever, because they obviously will charge for stupid things like that, and only to return the car with "oh, no problems, couldn't duplicate the problem u mentioned".

I've had bad experiences with stealerships, but I'm just wondering how you did it and if you had to pay any money at all.

Thanks

Just an update: I got the entire Control Valve Assembly replaced with 1 month left in my warranty (back in June 2011). Runs smoothly after replaced CVA..

Mechanic was really really nice... got it all done for free. Even got a loaner for a day or two. No diagnosis charge...even got my rear axles regreased with Molykote M77 grease for free

Fastfoward3 years... I'm beginning to feel the shudder again... this time close to 40mph (60-62km/h)

SIGH. Gotta live with it

Shudder too

Just so you know you're not alone. I have an 07 automatic and I get it too. Mostly under light acceleration on an incline. If I punch it, or accelerate a bit harder, it's not there. But, in traffic like I have here, that's not always an option. If I drive in the manual-auto mode, I don't get it at all.

I also get a lot of pinging, even though I use 91 octane. But again, if I drive in manual-auto mode, it's all good.
