Nismo roller pilot bearing issue

Has anyone had trouble with Nismo pilot roller bearing failing. 32202-09500 Nismo Bearing - Needle Pilot Z32

Here's the story.

I needed a new clutch. I shopped around. I decided the JWT clutch and LW flyweel was the best option for me. I ordered from a popular performance Z shop and quickly got all my stuff. I got an entire kit with the clutch, FW, SS clutch line, hardened pivot ball and a Nismo roller pilot bearing.

I had it all installed at my local Nissan shop. Performance Nissan in Lynnwood, WA. They sell and service GTR's and Nsimo Z's so figured there would be no issue with my G35 clutch install.

Got the car back, drove about 900 miles and the roller bearing disintegrated. My clutch wouldn't engage. I had to get my self home w/o stopping or using the clutch. My first call was to setup an appointment with Nissan to get it checked out.

Then i called the store that sold me the kit. They suspected the roller bearing had been installed with too much force. They say I am the only person to ever call and indicate they had this problem. Later that day Nissan called me back and said that's exactly what had happened. They recommended putting the OEM busing in, I agreed so that i could get my car back.

They also charged me for the labor to do the install of the busing. So i got charged twice to do a clutch install that in my opinion Nissan didn't do properly the first time.

Performance Nissan's argument is that i didn't buy the Nismo from a Nismo dealer. But the shop says they did buy the roller bearing from a Nissan dealer.

So I requested the invoice which was in storage and will be presented to me early next year form what I've been told.

So now to my question. Has anyone had trouble with Nismo roller bearing failing. Has anyone had trouble with Performance Nissan in Lynnwood. I don't want to bring any drama to the shop that sold me the parts since i really feel that they are not at fault. Essentially it's a Nissan part installed by a Nissan dealer in a Nissan vehicle. Why am I now out another $500 for rework on a clutch that wasn't done properly to begin with?

Any input you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
