AWD tweak
Hit the snow button... splits it 50/50 and make throttle less responsive so u wont spin to lose control.
only until 16mph. I want this at higher speeds. I dont know what infiniti was thinking by making the car RWD after 16mph. not that great in extreme conditions like we have in Canada. i am always slipping, thats WITH studded winter tires on. Its bad enough that I am thinking of selling the car and buying a 4matic c300.
You do realize that AWD will engage when tire slip is detected, regardless of speed, right? It's not like a light switch, either on or off. The Benz 4-matic system is a joke compared to the capabilities of Nissan's ATTESA system. Subaru's AWD on their automatics is a close second to the ATTESA system.

my car slips and just cuts off the power. Instead of engaging all 4 wheels. so you are stuck going no where. At high speeds, this is a major problem as your car is running on RWD and only becomes awd when slip is detected. thats just flawed because you can easily lose control of the car before your car tries to fix it. I believe theres another post regarding this by another user a while back.

I dont know about that; I test drove a 4matic and a 3 series with X drive and they felt much stabler on the snow compared to my infiniti...

BMW's X-drive operates in 40/60 until slip is detected and can route power 100% to either axle. Your G can do the same. The advantage of the G's system is that is has RWD handling dynamics which is typically seen a good thing. The BMW is going to feel like an understeering FWD car in the dry.

It only goes up to a certain speed and I believe it is less than 20mph. After that, it reverts back to normal operation.
I usually use it on bad down pours on HWY speeds. where there are water puddles everywhere, and car feels 100times more solid and in line when its turned on.
also OP. what kind of tires are you running?
to compare Xdrive or 4matic to our Xs i think our Xs do as good or even better then 335x, or 535 xdrive I've driven plenty of times, and 4matic on c300. C300 just doesnt even feel powerful enough to lose its end to begin with, and C300s interior made me want to get out of the car after 30mins of driving. Too small, and no comfort zone. I'd rather baby a fast car, then be stuck in a uncomfortable, slow car. lol
