i just finished installing my injen ses exhaust on my coupe and the car wont stop smoking, is this normal? is it that i have to break in the exhaust?

This is very common with this exhaust system after you first install it. It will go away. I would pay close attention to your rear bumper in the next week or so. If you see what appears to be fiberglass flakes, contact Injen and report it. Unfortunately, they released a bad batch of exhausts. Good news is they are taking care of the problem. In fact, my new primary sections are supposed to be in this week.

never mind guys it stopped, now i just have to put up with the smellt for a while until the paint underneath the car cures and that is it. i will be watching for the fiberglass like people have said here. system looks awesome and sounds good i'm dying to break in the car so i can see how it sound when you hammer down on the accelerator.

 

My Borla was smoking liek crazy after i first got it installed also, i also have test pipes it will take a good week of constant driving to break in, perfectly normal! Nice exhaust BTW =)
