Hey guys,

I went to the post office today and picked up a package today. To my surprise my CF INTAKE AND TUBE ARE HERE!!!! woooohooooo. So then i installed it!! ONly thing that was painful was the breather thing. It took forever to put that thing in. But other than that and needing a bracket....Its good. It doesn't have the sucking sound that the JWT makes. it has a little of that but not as much. It sounds a little buffer than the regular Z tube and pop charger way. Other than that its about the same. My butt dyno tells me there is some low end gain






IMO it looks great!! now i just need a CF engine cover and a CF hood! Great for shows!!!

wow, the intake looks reallly cool. Im curious to really see the gains on this intake, if it can proof to be better than my stillen cold air box i will get one in a second. Looks really pretty tho!

Looks good, but I'm curious about 2 things. Since there's no hole in front of the engine compartment where the mouth of the intake filter is located, where does it suck in air from? Plus what's that small filter located next to the carbon fiber intake tube?

 

hum...no dynos yet...

it gets the air from the stock air ram setup and it gets air from the bumper through to the intake. THere is enough air there. Its where all the intakes are anyways....

the small filter is called a breather. Supposedly its suppose to better for it. I no know much about it. There are somet other ppl talking about this in the other thread about this intake. Would someone enlighten us please??

I might go for this CF ztube setup, i love the looks and i might try something different, we'll see though!! Martin

No heat shield either? The pop charger and Stillen box attempted to keep the hot air from the intake path, but this one just seems like a standard cone filter setup. This could actually result in a loss of power. However, it does look great.

 

yeah, looks great, but looks like a loss of power. that little breather thing is interesting though.

if u look at the website of unlimited tuning u will see that the cone was made especially to withstand heat, however, i dont know about heat getting into the intake. this set up looks sexy as hell and as soon as the 1st dyno comes out, as long as it dont lose hp, im getting it.

 

hehe nice engine cover. I thought about getting that but i no know if i want a plenum yet. We'll see.......

Nice setup, how does it sound?

 

It does looks great!!! but I still want to know the performance gain on it.. With a narrow opening compare to the box with a K & N filter and a z -tube, I cant image it getting more air. it is a very slick look no matter what. Please let us know the dyno result. Thanks

 

People have already mentioned wanting Dyno results (or at least some temp. readings), so this question begs to be asked:

Notice any weight savings over the Z tube / Pop Charger combo? [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img] We might as well take all factors into account.

'05 IP(or ?) 6MT... ...Never too soon to think about modifications!!

 

Yea i had teh crawford to finish up my modding since theres like nothing else, but it was warped!! So now i might get another crawford, or wait for APS, we'll see!! I think actually a 350z engine cover looks better int he engine showing the upper half of the plenum, i might take it off and just leave it, i dunno!
