Engine noise on startup --05 g35X

My mechanic said that he heard a weird engine noise on startup on my 05' G35X. I personally do not notice it, and I thought that this problem only affected G's with the rev-up engine. I am the second owner of the car...bought it with 83k KM's. Has anyone heard of this happening with 05 X's? I always keep an eye on the oil and there is no noticeable consumption.

What did the noise sound like? I know a few people (myself included) have the timing chain rattle upon start up. It's because the oil hasn't pressurized and reached the chain. Sound should only last 2-3 seconds.

The engine does sound a little noisy on really cold days on start up, but nothing I would be too concerned with...my mechanic may have heard otherwise though. I was just surprised as I did not think the engines in the X's were prone to engine problems...he got me a little worried when he told me this though!

The engines on the X's are the same as the regular g35 engine except for the rev up.

Yes sorry, I worded that wrong...for the life of me I cannot hear whatever noise he was talking about. I stopped taking it to him because he over filled my oil and coolant last time I had it in. The new shop i'm using is way better
