DIY Cam Position Sensor Easy Version
#76
I recently noticed my Service Engine Soon light turned on. Then yesterday, while driving home, my car suddenly stopped and a whole bunch of lights turned on the dash and I couldn't go faster than 5mph. I put the car in park, closed the engine and tried to restart it but it didn't want to. Finally I got it started, and got home. I hooked it up to my tester, and got the P0345 error code, which has something to do with this thread and the camshaft. Now, I am willing to order the parts online and doing it myself and I was wondering where I can get the parts for this error code (the exact link to the parts so all I can do is pay for them, as I don't know from where I should order them and which exact part I need). If anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated.
I have read that it could be the driver's or passenger cam shaft sensor that could be faulty, and I would like to replace both so I do not need to worry about this issue again.
Thanks for your time

Do not buy the off brand ones from parts stores is exactly what I do not want to do. The question I was asking is from which site should I order the parts needed for my specific error code, since I have never really ordered car parts online.
Can anyone could provide the links to the parts needed for my error code is what I was really asking so before trying to be smart and saying that I should read the thread, which I have, why not keep useless information to yourself.

Now, if anyone has had the error code P0345 and got it resolved, please feel free to post.

mine pushed in the same way i pulled the old one out push it til it clicks...how was it when you removed your old sensor? slide right out? mine was hell to separate..you should be able to look and see everything going on if there's a problem. It's pretty straight forward and the upper clip is visible

I used a pair of small pliers to grip the base of it while i pressed on the green tab and wiggled it until it broke free. It was pretty easy considering I already had the wiring harness loose since im changing plugs too... Ill take a look as to why its not snapping in place. Thanks bud...

Ok so i managed to replace both camshaft position sensors, plugs, oil pressure sender, performed engine flush, dropped lower oil trough and cleaned oil screen and new oil and filter... Fired the cart up and once it reached temp it began to sputter and stalled out!!! I dont know what else it can be... Does this sound familiar to anyone or know what else I can do???
