I got bored today and saw this tubing in autozone while getting K&N filter cleaning kit and cut a whole in the bottom of my stillen intake box, took out that stock air box that was in there, removed the foam and the plastic piece in the grill of the driver side and ran the tubing directly to the corner and with fishing line poked wholes in the tube ran and through and tied in on my bumper on the top and bottom and you cannot even notice its there. Keep in mind all today i switched from just high flow cats, to test pipes, installed U/T Y-Pipe, cleaned my filter, and did this intake mod... and the car now hauls a$$ much better than it did before for not that much money.... I swear this is gotta be helping me but I need your opinions if this was a waste or it is atleast searving a good purpose. I am gonna take a shot of the bumper now in the dark and post it right after but here is the before i installed it in the car shots....

heres a pic of the intake in the car, (without the filter in the intake yet) the filter sits right above where the tube comes into the intake box. Its ran down directly against my front grill. I wanted to get a collector for it dowm there but lack of space and time let me to just have the tube against the grill....

i was goign to do something like this, but someone did some math and showed that becuase the tubing is not smooth, it is hindering airflow and really doesnt do anything...

but its all in the head anyways. 1-2 hp ... negligible

Yeah, I've been thinking about this for about a year now as well. I was thinking of using some thin walled rigid pipe, but I'm not sure where I'd run it to. On the sedan, there doesn't seem to be a good place to run the tube to for best air-flow/pressurization. Not sure if it's worth it to cut a hole to gain best placement.

If you look at alot of race cars [road racers ] they have this done , but with larger pipe , so the motor gets nothing but out side air.....no engine bay air . The only thing I see wrong is it may suck up water when it rains . I use one on my Vortech SC when I go to the track
