'06 G35 Auto Sedan - New Engine After 60k.. Will my baby ever be the same again?
Quick run down of what happened ('06 G35 Auto Sedan)
Monday - at dealership to get 60k done Found an upper oil pan leak. Fixed. Drove back home, but check engine light on (first time I ever had the light on in my 5 years of ownership). Advised to drive for a couple key cycles to wait for code to clear
Tuesday - code still on, took to dealership that afternoon
Thursday - Advised probably a bad sensor, replaced
Saturday - Code still on, dealership did oil pressure test, advised getting 6psi at idle and 2k RPM. Oil pump shot, engine had a lot of metallic debris. Informed engine had to be replaced. I was told that if I had kept driving it longer or held out on the 60k checkup I may have wound up on the side of the road having my car towed..
I have 2 main questions, 1. What should I expect when I get my baby back and 2. what could have caused something like this? I practically baby my car and take it for each scheduled maintenance.

Oil pump failure - if this was the cause there is very little you could have done. Insufficient oil to the engine due to low pressure is just downright harmful. Not a common issue so you can chalk this up to bad luck.
When you do get your car back it should be its good old self. Nothing to worry about other than the cost to replace (if you aren't covered under warranty).
