car keeps backfiring! need help :(

hey, i have a 04 g35 coupe running at 150,000km. backedfired 3times.

1st time it backfired, coils burnt out and made a hole in the driverside cat. Replaced the coils and sparkplugs and drove. a week later, backfired on me again. towed it back and chk it up with a mechanic and he said it was the ECM that was giving problems.

Replaced the ecm, reprogrammed it, replaced the coils since it was under warrenty and replaced the cat with a used one which was in really good condition. parked the car for winter storage.

Yesturday i finally pulled the car out, did the emmsissions, and passed. while driving back home, car backfired on me again. now its sittin at the garage.

if anyone came across of had this issue, please help me out =) thanx!

when the car starts backfire, cant drive the car for long. it would make like a gun shot noise n then i would have to tow the car to the garage. every time it does that, it would make a hole in the driverside cat and burn the coils. my mechanic said it was the ecm that wasnt giving power or single to the sparkplugs and i replaced the ecm. now that i changed the coils again the car wont start. pretty much somthing to do with the ecm or wiring??

so you've got a new ecm and coils? did you re-register and re-learn everything with the new ecm?
