2JZ Swap

Well, Im in the middle of Procharging my car(G35) and have been bored today and browsing around. Then I started thinking of future modding the VQ35 because of its limits. So I got to looking into a 2jz twin turbo swap, because of how well they are known to handle power. I can get a full swap including engine, trans, ecu, harness, etc for under 3000 with under 40,000 miles on it. With this engine, and a simple swap to a single turbo, I can push a lot of power easily. I would just need to fab up new mounts, and I can retain my stock radiator, ac, etc. Thoughts?

I dunno about full control with the ECU -especially for integration with the stock sytems but I know it can be done. I'm sure there will be additional costs above your current expectations.

Hell, I could go with the 1JZ with manual tranny and have it to my door for 3000. Add the swap kit which includes all of my mounts, driveshaft, crossmember, shifter extension, etc for 2,200. I would just have fluids, and the other base stuff. I would need to re-route the ac lines and a few other things.

Its not a bad idea. The 2JZ is known to hold up to strong boost levels. There are a few guys that have done it. Some have swapped LS-X motors as well.
