Air in the clutch??? HELP ME PLZZZZ!

So i have a 03 G35 coupe (V35) 6 speed to be exact, and i am having the worst headache! i blew a valve about a month ago and instead of fixing the same engine i went and bought another engine (cheap). I had a mechanic do a swap for me, i also changed the clutch at the same time since he was already doing engine work. This is wear the problems start to come in, the engine swap was fine but i started having problems with the clutch and the clutch system! i doubt its the clutch because i bleed the clutch and it seemed to gain force and stifness on the clutch pedal but then about 3k miles it seemed to get air in the system again, the clutch and the egine seem to lose balance. I let go of the clutch and the car doesnt want to take off, i bleed the cluthc again and it worked fine again but it went back to the same problem! im thinking when the mechanic took the clutch of he took off the pump and the cluthc lines, what can the problem be.??? any help??? advice?? the car works find once on 3rd gear and above or on the freeway...

Did you take it back to the mechanic for inspection?. Did you replace the flywheel and throw out bearing.? You said after 3k miles you need to bleed the line. Have you had to do it again since then or when did you bleed it?. Check for any leaks on the clutch line and the resevoir area. I would have the mechanic fix that since he did alot of work on the engine/transmission.

BTW, please tell me how much was the labor charge to do the engine swap, clutch job and the cost of engine + extra. I am interested in the cost and labor rates to have an engine swapped along with clutch job.

thanks

Yes, throw out bearing was replaced and flywheel also there isn't any leak either we inspected that as well. When I did the engne swap and I installed the clutch I bleed the clutch the first time because the clutch pedal was weak, then after 3k miles I bleed the clutch again because I started having problems again with the clutch and engine loosing balance, once I bleed it it went back to normal but now I'm back to the clutch having air inside idk what seems to be the problem!!

And as far as the labor I only paid 800 for labor, he droppd the tranny twice because I replaced the throw out bearing.

Sounds like the diaphragm inside the slave cylinder is letting air in

I would replace the slave cylinder

dropping the tranny is never a good idea, I use a stand and lower it slowly

For future reference, try waiting more than 10 minutes, for a response.....especially at 2 in the morning...

But air is getting in somewhere, which means at times, fluid must be getting out. If you see no visible leaks, the slave cylinder is a likely culprit.
