Engine ticking/clicking and need your help. youtube video included.

just picked up a 03 G35 sedan from a small lot. 59000 mile, clean and pretty much regular daily driving wear. The engine has a clicking or ticking knock noise coming from the drivers side of the engine or so it seems. One of my friends said it is possibly lifters, others said bent valve. The mechanic at the lot said all it needed was a tune up, oil and spark plug change and it would go away....It hasnt after 700 miles. the car still has their warranty so im getting it fixed through them. Here is a Youtube video of the noise.....thanks for your help!!!!

This is the actual car and noise, not some random video. thanks for your help.

any update on what caused the noise? my car is making what seems to be the same noise as yours. I haven't had a chance to bring it in to the dealer yet though.

FYI, Read the TSB's on this one. The troubleshooting test is if the engine
is low on oil add oil. If the engine makes noise it needs to be replaced or repaired.
The lifters are hydraulic and when they are starved for oil they will not pump-up. What you are hearing is lifter slap. When the engine is cold at start-up the noise is louder then after the engine warms-up. If the noise goes away "Great" that is normal operations of a hydraulic lifter. There is a few things that can be done to try to free-up a stuck lifter.
Now if it doesn't go away you need to get into the motor or pay someone else.
Warranty would be real nice about now !.
