Throttle Response delay?? (vid included)

I have a 04 6mt coupe mods are...
Polished Z Tube.
ART Pipes.
K&N drop in.
5/16 MD Spacer.
The car has a delayed throttle response and almost feels like its bouncing off the rev limiter. 2 other members checked the car out and said the same exact thing. They drove it and reved it. I raced a automatic G today to see the difference and he had a car and half on me from a 20 roll 30... and 40. Even from a dig. His car gets instant power and mine doesnt. When you floor it the car lags to get power from 3k RPM - 5500RPM. This has been happening since before the mods too. The car did have a clogged CAT before and i replaced it then got ART pipes.
Ive cleaned the MAF and replaced Spark Plugs. I use OEM oil and car has 96k Miles.
Here is the Video.

Any help would be great!!
-Mike

What other exhaust mods do you have? The car sounds awful, almost like it has a leak between the head and manifold. That can cause a loss of throttle response. Same goes for overly large exhaust piping or open exhaust on an NA motor.

There could be a problem with the electronic pedal assembly or the throttle body. You might want to consider disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery and unplugging and replugging in the connectors on the pedal assembly and throttle body. If that doesn't work, then you might want to take to Nissan/Infiniti. They'll plug in the Consult computer and it will give them all the sensor values and see what's lagging in the motor.

Is the CEL on?

Do not Seafoam it, that's not your problem.

Car has normal oil level? Something does not sound right!!! You might want to pull the oil pan and make sure you haven't done some damage when you had the clogged cat (look for metal flakes).

Yeah that sound is just from us disconnecting the y pipe from the cats to see if it was something in the latter part of the exaust that was causing restriction. Reason I say seafoam is after reading some other threads similar to this, some guy cleaned his tb and maf and injectors and it was back to normal.

So SES came on again. and it pulled the code p1283.
Is this code because of my ART pipes?
Or is it something else I should be looking at??

I had this code when i did the TTs, with this, it is normal, for you being you have stock injectors and everything, and the exhaust sounds like that...You have a pre o2 exhaust leak. It's throwing so much fuel at it that it can't burn it all. Most likely the joint between the manifold and the ART pipes.

Listen to DaveB....

Also you the exhaust coming out of your non existing muffler are explosions... your knocked sensor could potentially be catching these explosions and confusing them for knock thus the delayed throttle response.... I can assure you your torque is greatly degraded with this setup.

Take it to a muffler shop & have them check to see if there is any leak, bad gasket what have you. Also yes, clean your maf sensor as well. Also it's not a bad idea to a test engine compression.

We had the exhaust unbolted when we shot the video lol but the delayed throttle was prevalent before that
