Smile Brake Pad and Rotor maintenance?

I have about 20k miles on my g35 6mt now, by just looking at the rotor seems like it has wear away quit abit. I haven't done any track days yet. But i have done auto x which doesn't wear much, and twisties twice a day. I want to know how often should the 6mt change their rotor and pads.

And i notice that after snow or rain in the morning the car would got stuck i guess by the brakes. And the first few min of driving felt there is a chunk of rust build up on the rotor and needed to brake it a few times to get those away. Is this normal?

And if you guys gonna change the pads and rotor which brand or which one will you go for at a reasonable price? I was thinking project m pads after these stock ones are gone...

Changing your brake pads is not a matter of time. It all depends on your driving style and how hard you use them. To determine if you need to change your brake pads you can always check your pad thickness once in a great while. I beleive the minimum thickness on the stock Nissan pads is 2mm. It's pretty easy to do as well. Just have to take the pad out and measure with a ruler. Same thing with the rotor but its a little bit harder since you'll need a dial caliper to measure the rotor thickness. From what I remember, the differece between the minimum rotor thickness and the brand new thickness on the stock nissan rotors is so small you'll be pretty lucky to turn your rotors once. Also most brake pads have the wear indicator on it so that when you are running low your brakes will start sreeching. That is a warning to you as the driver to change your pads out soon before your brake pad backing starts contacting your rotor and thus damaging your rotor.
