so my car is an AT and has 85k miles and mostly cold weather since im in Oregon.

what is the best oil for my car??

i've been trying to search on google, and mostly say:

Shell rotella 0w-40
Castrol edge
mobil1 0w-40

help me please!!

 

Can't go wrong with German Castrol Syntec 0w-30

castrol 0w30 and mobil 1 0w40 are too thin for mine

 

Mobil 1 has always been good...

...how hard do you drive??? also it depends on your local climate...

I use Mobil 1 5/30

 

Motul 300V or German Castrol Syntec

F*ck Mobile 1, their new formula is all about the profits and not so much about protecting your motor anymore. That sh*t will burn away quick in these motors.

And to be honest, I'm in CA, so I won't know how these oils will fare in cold weather.

 

I used Pennzoil platinum for my first oil change on my G with 59k. I read good reviews on it while doin a little research. Got 5 quarts for $25 at Oreillys.

 

Mobil1 5w30

But I like Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 more.

I would just stick to 5w30, it's recommended and I use that grade while prowling around up here. Lol
