I don't know if your using uprev or not, but last night I noticed that on mine when I go wot the fuel Target table would make it go full lean. I don't know why its doing this.

heres an update.

i brought it to danny aka greengoblin. and he did a leak down test. we found something very supportive to my origional theory. bank 1 was perfect showing normal leak measures however bank 2 showed something a bit differant. all the cylinders at TDC were leaking slightly-when pushed a bit passed the mark for TDC for each cylinder, the leak will stop indicating that bank 2 is off timing. possible causes.
the machine shop decked my head to much? the small timing chain on bank 2 is off a tooth, the valve lash can be off on that bank only. this explains why the bank is lean even when the injectors are pushed to 80 % duty cycle on that bank. when boost kicks and the heads become pressurized, the pressure sends all the fuel past the exhaust valves before it can be ignited....

my b.f Dave did my tune up and he had plug 4&6 reversed, he was thinking he was goin insane. he looked at the harness and saw that plug 2 was on the outside side and thought maybe plug 6 should too since plug 6 coil pack is in its awkward position, so he tried it and vrooooooooooom baby we out.......... lol hope this helps

ok i have the heads on with slightly larger injectors. obviously it is very rich and hesitated under a little load as a result. im not going to push it until i go for a tune friday. i hope this solves my issue... im really saddend by this situation and wouldnt wish it upon anyone. its truly dissappointing. at this point i dont have my hopes up at all until i hear her screem on the dyno like she should. until then, im assuming that nothing has changed-just to keep my sanity. ill update friday-wish me luck!

update. brought it for a new tune today and!!.. the exact same thing nothing changed-bank 2 still getting lean under boost but ok under normal driving. made 286 whp with the same sputtery miss exhaust note at the top. agh...... the tuner says its the computer but he isnt 100%. he is just saying it because that is the last thing i have not changed besides the wiring harness. i just dont know..anyone have a used ECU for a rev up????

can someone answer the following questions.I cant find a clear answer:
can a cam position sensor that is faulty cause a profound power loss like i am experiencing?
does the ECU control fuel on both banks seperatly?

while tuning, bank 2 just stops giving fuel and bank one is ok. the funny thing is that while driving normally, the car drives ok or at least seems to drive ok. as soon as there is WOT load that car leans on bank 2 only causing the exssesive power loss. im thinking of replacing my ecu or cam phase sensors on bank 2. can someone please give me some advice on what to do?

All I can comment on is that I had my engine swapped recently and the car ran like crap (not an issue with the engine at all). By crap I mean sluggish acceleration and kept on getting a 'crank'shaft position sensor code.

We replaced the crankshaft position sensor with other used (but working) ones and no change. Yesterday replaced all 3 (crankshaft + both cam sensors) and now the car runs like new. Acceleration is back and no more sluggishness.

I didn't experience a crazy power loss like yours, but it was noticeable.

Hope that helps at all.

Parting Out
I was looking forward to seeing you get this resolved. May be worth a try before you tear it apart... Are you going to sell the short block?
