New!!
Id say exhaust wise man your gonna have to research cause when it comes to it, its all personal prefrence. I will say if you have the cash to spend momentum performance makes some REALLY nice stuff i would check them out. If not then a popular option is getting an HKS replica exhaust which is for the most part same quality same materials and design just thousands cheaper. As for headers on our cars is a PITA to install but if you want em go for it! Also dont forget to search around though, a lot of the questions you probably have, have already been answered. Plus the forum members appreciate it a lot too. Other than that welcome to the forum, our community, and owning a G!
Best mods bang for buck... Performance air filter, Motordyne Plenum Spacer, Z-Tube, High Flow Cats or Test Pipes. All increase the crazy air flow restrictive designs or our engine. Good luck with everything and remember... before you create a thread to ask a question, search search search. Just abt everything u can think of has been asked and answered at some point on this forum. Welcome & post some pics to get some love and better feedback!
yes doing research is the best way to go. you may not find what your looking for but you will learn a whole bunch of other things about your car by just reading threads.
Any of the basic breather mods you can do for your 03' G coupe aren't going to give you any substantial gains.
That's not to say you shouldn't mod, but don't expect a 30hp increase.
The only mod that will make a big difference is forced induction, but then your talkin big bucks.
Like AzuMaster mentioned above catback exhaust, ztube, hfc or test pipes and MD spacer are a good start.

R2C intake
MD ART pipes V2.2
MD Resonated XYZ
MD resonated mid pipe
MD VQ TT exhaust
MD 5/16" spacer
Osiris tune
And all of these mods took me from 220/201 stock to 260/240 so I got 40/39 with my mods. Not FI territory and they weren't cheap, but effective nonetheless. And yes, I'm a Motordyne *****.
Not so fast my friend. I have the following power mods:

The only somewhat *cheap* way to make power on a VQ is N20, which can be just as safe if done right.
