Slip & VDC light & Stalling out???
Hey guys, Need some insight on this one.....
I have never had any issues at all with my 03 G35 automatic Sedan. I was driving in a straight line about 40 mph yesterday and then the vdc & slip light came on & then the rpms dropped and engine stalled out. coasted into the center turn lane, put it in park & it restarted, lights were still on the dash & noticed that it appears to be in limp mode as it will not go over 2500rpms. When you try to accelerate over 2500 rpms it seems to be pulling timing out or like hitting a fuel cut. I was thinking that the slip & vdc light may be coming on bc of a bad wheel speed sensor.
Have any of you had this happen before?

Update-
plugged into a scanner today & found that my CEL (bulb in cluster) malfunctioned (or burned out) The reason for the stalling, and not hitting over 2500rpms was bc it was pulling CAS (cam angle sensor) codes & put it in fail safe mode. I reset the codes, and and so far so good. No slip, or vdc has came on & the motor is going well over 2500rpms now....

Just read your post...Thanks for the info...It didnt it again today...not revving up over 2500 rpm's...Man that crap pisses me off when i m needing the power! I doubt mine will be covered under warranty, bc i have a crap load of miles...The dealer is over an hour away from me, so for now & until i can get the part to replace it. I will just reset the codes again.

Idk what to do next!!!
I was having the same issue. My G35X would stall out while making a turn in reverse, or also when making making a turn from being stopped at a traffic light or stop sign. I took it to the nearest Infiniti dealership and they charged me $170 just to look at it and tell me that there wasn't anything wrong, and cant see any problems with it. They also told me that when hooked up to the reader, no codes are popping up. I finally stopped at an Auto Zone to plug it in myself and the Codes for a bad CPS (Camshaft Position Sensor) was popping up so I replaced all 4 sensors. The stalling seemed to be no more but the check engine light would still come on and stay on. Now after about 9-10 months later it is happening again just like before but now it's stalling out more frequently.

Pull codes and post them.
If it's stalling when you're turning the steering wheel while parked that's probably the power steering pressure switch. Your rpm should flare just slightly when you turn the wheel, if the rpm's fall then the switch is probably failing and not telling the ECM to raise target rpm to compensate for the drag on the engine from the PS pump.
