No code, exhaust smells lean
No code, exhaust smells lean
Changed thermostat about 6 weeks ago, forgot to reconnect the MAF (doh!) ... Reconnected MAF, drove around for maybe 300 miles, code never cleared ... disconnected battery to clear code, it never came back... exhaust still smells like gasoline... any ideas on how to fix this? I'm moving back to Arizona soon and need to pass emissions ... I have a stock engine... any ideas?
The reason the code didnt clear was because its not a self-test that will go away....it went away after you cleared the codes. Shouldn't be worried. As long as you do not have CEL you should pass your emissions.
seymore, the performance side of my car is completely stock
tolboothwilley, alright I appreciate it. it doesn't seem to be affecting gas mileage any and the car performs like she's new, so I'll take your advice. I appreciate it!
