My 2003 coupe just did this last night. I just replaced the battery on it a few weeks ago. I'd be interested in what this could possibly be.

Could be battery....could have enough juice to try but not get going fast

Take it to checker or autozone and they will test it for free

It does seem to be a fuel thing, or at least a firing thing.

Tried the spare key?

Have you checked the earths in the engine??

I'm also going to suggest a vacuum leak.

You can check vacuum leak... Has anything been done to the car recently?

no upgrades where done to the car since my purchase all ive done is service it....... i'm willing to go out on a limb and say it might be a bad coil pack.... but ive tested all except the one furthest in the back on the passenger side (i couldnt reach the connector to pull it out) but it doesn't sputter or anything when on full throttle........... also I've noticed if i'm in first gear and i step on the throttle it runs good until around 4,000/5,000 rpm then it seems like it "chokes" like its struggling to build up the revs........... i don't know what to think, i really don't want to sell the car because i love it and there not really that easy to import (with duty on vehicles 3.5 and up being 85%)

Did you use new ones?

Are they in the right location (Bank 1/ Bank 2)?--The crank sensor looks exactly the same as the camshaft position sensor in Bank 1...make sure that they are not mixed up.

Are the connectors on tight (are the locking tabs secure)?--The green locking tabs on the camshaft position sensors may not always return to the "locked" position after re-connecting them. You may have to help them back to lock properly.

Check this first...if it's all good, I'd exchange the 3 sensors for 3 new ones again. There's no doubt that if you're getting a camshaft DTC that that's the reason why you have the long crank.

Does the car fire right up after it has been warmed up? Or is it still the same? This happened to me in another vehicle. The fuel pump was working but was relieving pressure slowly so when I tried to start the car up in the morning or it has been sitting it would take awhile to fire up. Make sure fuel pressure is holding after the car has been sitting. There was a port where I could hook up a harbor freight fuel pressure gauge and test and fuel pressure on the fuel rails. I am not sure how the G35 is setup.

all 3 sensors were brand new still in factory packaging and the crankshaft sensor was changed a month before to camshaft sensors were swapped out
