Cost is not hte only consideration. Knowing as much as we know about the stock ECu, provided we have enough range (which is why we are going with such a setup - to suffice airflow for about 20 psi of boost - hopefully), tuning the car usign the stock ecu hardware with the correct maps will yield by far the most elegant and reliable EM solution.

i guess not completely... that's how i ble my forged engine. Basicdally, we had a 'hole' in the map, specifically at 2200 rpm... But, we know exactly what the problem was...so it's no mystery...
