Question Clutch pedal sticking?

Anyone have this problem? After a bit of use. My clutch pedal will stick right near the engagement point. It doesn't cause slipping or anything, it will just stick, and sometimes pop back up or i'll have to pop it up with my foot.

Is this the clutch pedal assembly?? My dealership is trying to say its my clutch, yet I have zero slipping and can chirp the tires with the best of them. Clutch seems perfectly fine.

How to fix? Thanks.

I've got the same issue but only when it gets hot out. 21k on the car and owned it since brand new. Never lit up the tires in it either. I usually pop the pedal up that 1/4 inch that it doesn't come up , but I'm definitely would like to fix this

Welp, I looked into it myself with the mighty WD-40. I looked at the clutch pedal assembly with the car off. Seems the assembly itself gets binded/stuck, almost as if there is chewing gum causing it. So I soaked every hinge with WD-40 pushed the pedal in and out several times, sprayed again, and let it sit. Went back out for a long drive in very hot humid weather.

And.

It's gone. It's just a lubrication problem.

I'm sure the fluid/cylinder remedies are for when the clutch pedal stays down low perhaps burning out the clutch.

I could tell this was just a local mechanical problem with the assembly, the dealership must use the wrong kind of lubricant for it, and it ends up getting sticky in the heat.

I had this same problem when my car was under warranty and the dealership replaced my slave cylinder, which fixed the problem.
But since your out of warranty relubricating the clutch pedal assembly can't hurt.

Nah I'm still under warranty (extended). I had a clicking problem with it years ago. They replace I believe the assembly, which worked for a little bit.

Now it seems to stick, and I told them about it, and they claim its the clutch, not the cylinder.

But WD-40 did the job. I think its a cylinder problem if the clutch pedal is stuck to the floor. That's not the case here, it gets stuck right before clutch tension for no good reason other than what I imagined lubrication.
