05 6MT Intake

Does anyone know if the 05 6MT uses the same intake as the earlier models? What I'm getting at is whether the Z Intake mod is still applicable, especially since the G and Z MTs now have the same HP.

I don't believe they changed anything about the intake. Should be still the same.

Yea, I dove in last night and looked, it appears to be the same from the outside, reservoir and all.

Its the same tube. I installed a Z-tube on my 05 Sedan 2 days ago, wanted to wait to get 500 miles on her.. It fit fine no problems I checked the A/C lines to make sure they were not rubbing on the tube (not even close) and it's a cool and cheap mod. Sounds a lot better, throttle response is better, It seems to me that the car runs a lot crisper than with the stock intake..

I'm with you, I'm waiting until my break-in is over before I do any mods. Only 1000 miles to go.....grrrr. At this rate, it'll be two more months.

dont think it matters to have the car get mods before break in... just dont go over the recommended RPM's and its the same

well minor mods like intake, exhaust, plenum... they all just free up the engine's restictive areas so maybe better for breakin...

mods like turbo/supercharger , nos should wait for the engine to be more worn in...
