Question Newbie to G35s.... Engine blown/Rebuildable? Tick Tick

So bare with me on my first Infiniti... Been huge with Subaru and Toyota but now taking a dive into new waters. Got this clean 2 owner 03 coupe for $6000 not running(think its a decent deal), after about 20min checking things, haven't yet plugged into my scanner tool, fired her up, I really assume the previous owner ran her low on oil(not to mention the jiffy lube sticker on the windshield)... So whats my best option? Im thinking my motor is done.

Motor is a goner bro I'm sorry to see that. I just got my motor replaced a week ago with the same issue a knocking rod.It will cost more to rebuild most likely. I went got a used motor with 30k miles on it. And yours is really loud I don't give it more than two weeks before you get stranded. And damn $6k for an '03 was a lot to pay.

Goodluck bro

Or if you just want a running oem setup look on Craigslist there are guys on there parting out wrecked cars all the time, should be able to pick up a new motor for around 1000

What's a Better option without major swapping? I mean I know 05+ don't work cause I'm a non rev up as far as I know, I been looking on craigslist, everyone wants $1400+

A built motor plus twins or a built high compression NA setup . Too bad you're not a
Revup, I know a guy in auburn with one that only wants 1000, complete with everything ready to drop in

I was actually going to buy it until I stole a mint 06 longblock with 20K miles for $400 locally

The swap is possible, just more work than you want to do, lol
