Need help with engine swapping 05 G sedan

So my engine is on its last leg due too this crazy oil burning situation and its time to swap it. Its an 2005 G sedan 6mt. I am thinking an 03-04 engine would be best as they seem to not be plagued with the OC problem. I was just curious if all i need was the engine, harness and ecu to bolt up into and 05 G. Would all electronics and everything still work given its an older ecu?

Anyone have any other options i should consider? Also please don't recommend a built block or some other crazy swap... I have considered these but realized my time with the g is done. I would just feel too guilty selling someone this car thats about to blow up so I am just swapping a used engine as they're pretty cheap now then putting it up on the market.

If you have a automatic you can use any motor from a 03-07 G35 automatic or 03-04 manual

Then yes you would need a ECU/Engine Harness/non rev-up motor
or you can buy a non revup and move the heads to the non revup motor and not need all that

I have a feeling valve guides/seals are gone too as its quite smokey on startup. So I'd be fine with my stock cluster and ignition? All the interior electronics will work as normal? Also would I need some type of immobilizer delete or just visit the dealer to reprogram my key? Thanks

Just need the dealer to reprogram the key

Smoke on start is usually piston rings but if you want to make sure you can always do a leak down test but 95% of the time it's rings

The revup motor you have is a better motor in many ways - except the rings. I would keep that in mind as you make your decision if you haven't
