could anyone help me with the engine temperature gauge? so my 04 g35 coupe have been showing a very slight increase in temperature. i am very concern with over heating the engine. i would like to get an aftermarket temperature monitoring device, so i have a more accurate reading of the engine temperature.. what should i get? how does it work? could i get an engine management system where it would help me monitor my engine in more detail? please help..

have you diagnose that the gauge is defective? maybe there is a cooling problem with the car. don't replace the gauge just bc it doesn't tell you what you want to see.

I don't replace my fuel gauge bc it's always near empty and not at full where i want it to be..i just fill it up.

 

Is it 3/4 close to the HOT or just a very minor increase in the temp gauge? I don't think there anything wrong with your temperature gauge. Could be low on coolant or thermostat going bad.

 

thank you for the input. i will check out the issue more in detail. but i would like to learn more about engine management system and how to play with them. any input on this issue? what can i do with them and what can i manage with with them. i want a live time visual of what going on in that car. please share your knowledge
