So i changed my radiator today because the one i had was having a leak issue so i wanted to replace it.
just finished replacing it and all seems to be well however when i turn the heater on to full blast and highest temp, its still blowing out cold air.
also my temperature gauge went all the way up when i took it out for a drive.
could this just be air in the coooling system and i just need to purge the air system? is it bad if i drive my car like that with the temp gauge fluctuating?

so i took it out for a drive again and same thing happened temp went up but this time i started hearing a hissing sound and when i parked i opened my hook because i noticed some white smoke which i thought was just anti freeze burning off
so when i opened it i found that the over flow tank for the anti freeze was bubbling sound like almost boiling.
went to buy a code reader and all i got was P0507 which apparently is high rpm at idle?
any suggestions?
