If you have learned anything from reading around here in the F/I section you would know that to F?I a G35 is a expensive task.
So far just on engine mods I have put in a little more than 8k. This does not include labor(even though I got a great deal on that portion) Tune was $400.
The only other mods I have spent money on are Tananbe Sustec Pro coilovers- $950, JWT HD clutch/flywheel $750, SPC front&rear control arms- $480, AEM gauges $600, Vertini Drift wheels/tires $2500. Realistically these mods don't up your whp but rather help you keep more of your whp to the ground.
So just for Twin turbo parts and Tune is ~$8500. Lettuce think about what I haven't even done yet. Built motor, cams, plenum, water/meth. I will easily spend about another $8500 just in parts for these. Again labor will need to be added and then another $400 tune.
So now I will be sitting at $17500 for parts alone...
Do not forget anytime you upgrade your suspension you will most likely need a alignment.
Biggest thing to remember when going F/I is the unknown issues you will run into, the various parts you will need unforseen untill you are putting everything together. IE new spark plugs, oil, pillar pod, ect. These things will add up trust me.
If you don't have a fair amount of money to "lose" then going F/I is not a smart decision. Especially if you plan on trying to sell the car later. Too much of a headache. That is why I am keeping my G forever.
Best of luck through your journey. Mine has only just begun as I am sitting at 345/338. Next shot after all the work will be 600.
