Ehhh... if it rains alot in your area... not the greatest idea to install the cold air.. *water goes in, engine dies*... but hey, isn't there a way to avoid that?

Drive smart. I've had a CAI on my personal car for over 5 years now. We get flooding here in AZ during the monsoon storms, Tucson more so than Phoenix. Just don't drive through deep puddles. If you're not sure how deep it is, don't drive through it.
The Nissan Motorsports (NISMO) intake does include a bypass valve though, so if you're really concerned about hydrolocking your motor, that's another option to the Injen CAI.
I'm aware of the church style organ pipes and their tuning, but I use that as a general example because it's easier for most people to understand. Maybe I'll have to think of something different though....
