Overheating after Valve Cover gasket change?

dont really post since i usually find my answers by simply searching through this forum or google but can't seem to find anyone with a similar problem

recently replaced my gaskets and the one of the gaskets fell out the groove, replaced it again with a new one, ran fine for a couple days, now its making a really bad squealing noise and starting to overheat pretty bad, any ideas?

any help is really appreciated

thanks in advance

Valve covers have nothing to do with the cooling system...no reason they are connected. Did you take a coolant pipe off for any reason?

The most common reasons for overheating on this car are air bubble in the system when it's been opened and/or electric fan gone bad.

Could also be a t-stat sticking closed or a leak of course

How many miles do you have?

You said a gasket fell out of the groove, it didn't fall down into the engine did it?

But generally that wouldn't be related to overheating. Is the squealing coming from the belts or in the engine? The water pump might have gone bad.

Just tossing out ideas without actually seeing/hearing the car.

yea did you disconnect any cooling system hoses? and maybe when you reconnected them the clamp wasn't right enough?

the other day I changed a VC gasket on a Lincoln navigator.
it was a bitch lol.
it took longer to remove spd rounding crap than it took to remove the VC.
but I had to remove the upper radiator hose to get the VC out. but it had a spring loaded clamp.
maybe a worm gear clamp isn't tight enough?

maybe it was a coincidence it started to over heat after you did the gasket change.
don't see anything from the VC affecting cooling system

First of all, thanks for your replies, but I think it was just a bad coincidence that the radiator went bad after the valve cover change, there was a leak and it was squealing cuz the belts were getting wet, still need to reinstall everything to make sure it's all fixed
