compressor problems.

hey guys i noticed my ac wasnt blowing cold anymore i check if it had freon it does so i check the compressor i seen the front i guess faceplate was gone off it i have no idea how it could have fell off but is there a replacement or do i need a full new compressor?

This just happen to me today.. i heard a loud noise like i ran over something then my car started to make this weird squeaking sound. then i notice my AC stop being cold. when i went to look i saw that the front plate of my AC broke off.

someone help.

Did you ever solve this issue

Please let me know if you solved this issue. My AC stopped blowing cold and I am hearing a random clicking sound from the compressor area. Thanks for any info you have.

random click from compressor = normally low on freon (refrigerant)

the poster above is missing his clutch plate on the compressor which can normally be fixed by replacing just the clutch instead of needing a whole new compressor
