Haha, the joys of owning a G35. I too get a creak somewhere in the dash when taking off from a stop. I also get squeaks going over the lane reflectors. Also weird marks in the paint, think you can buff it off since it looks just in the clear coat but haven't tried yet.

Why you shouldn't buy a G35!

well clutch wearing prematurely is more driver issue not quality issue

Is it just my own bad luck, or is it common for G35's to be riddled with annoying little problems? I bought mine used with 50k miles, have 75k now and here is what I deal with:

•Clutch pedal sticking in hot weather. Replaced master, slave cylinders, clutch fluid, greased. $200 + labor

Normal - did that fix it? Seems to be a design flaw - my theory is that the clutch fluid gets cooked from being so close to the exhaust manifold near the slave cylinder - the problem never really seems to go away - just gets better or worse. BTW my old 300ZX did the same exact thing for almost 200K.

•Clutch went out at 52k - requires new $900 dual mass flywheel too of course. $1,550 installed

Not normal @ 50K

•Bad input shaft bearing from before 50k miles... need to replace transmission with used unit. $1,100+ installed

Not normal

•Bad compression rod bushings. Replaced arms. $750 installed

Normal

•Bad rear bearing. $150 + labor ($500 from dealer)

Normal - usually around 90K

•Clicking from rear axles in warm weather. Pulled axles & greased.

They all do that (seriously)

•Front seat leather stretched and worn.

Not really normal, but sometimes. Mine came looking stretched from the factory and still look the same.

•Creaking noises in cabin

Not excessive typically.

Most of the things you have mentioned show up later in life (BTW - radiator fan recall done yet?) Maybe time is playing a part. Or the car may have been abused before you got it. Input shaft and clutch that early could be signs of a bad shop.

As a reference, my '06 has 150K. It has needed less work in the last 100K than in the first 50K.

My biggest expenses are tires and brakes, neither of which last very long.
