We need to see some dynos from this mod. It's unclear whether this claimed HP is on a stock car or a car with their headers/cats etc. on it. Why not post the dynos if you are making the claim--obviously they must have generated them?

Sounds great--I'll be interested to see of it achieves their claims.

maybe im reading the posts wrong, but i didnt know a ECU reflash provided a gain?? From my knowledge I thought it would help you get the BEST gain from the mods you have...ie plenum, HF cats/test pipes, exhaust....

Also, the TS reflash is for 2003 and early 2004's. It was my understanding that the 2004.5 does not have a reflash available for it.

For those who want to see dynos of the reflash and plenum, go to my350z.com. I spend alot of time there because they're a little more mod crazy than this group. There are dozens of dynos. Just do a search.

Check out Freshalloy.com, there's a guy who just put up some dynos of the Crawford plenum vs a spacer. It looks like the spacer is in testing/production phase and not yet widely available but hopefully more info will come out soon. It's always nice to know about different options before purchasing. I'm gonna wait til I see more dynos of the spacer before I buy either one.

I thought this was with the previous version of the plenum?

I've been told if you install this new crawford plenum you can no longer have your engine cover on. Is this correct?

With the new plenum why would you want your engine cover on? Once you replace the stock plenum with something that looks nice you no longer need the engine cover, in my opinion.

www.kptechnologies.net/dynos/dyno.htm

^^^ Go there for a pic of the V5 (not cast) plenum. I love the way it looks and would never consider covering it with anything.

Anyone looking to do a plenum mod might also consider the spacers that are now being shipped. There are several different sizes available, so you can keep a stock appearance and engine cover if you are running a G and can even keep the strut bar on a Z. So far independent dynos are showing about the same gains as a full plenum upper replacement, at less than half the cost.

Copbait, please see the picture I posted above!

Even the V5 (with the welds) looks great. The cast plenum is awesome (I've seen it installed on a Z in person). I'm all about putting performance first, BUT if you can spend a little more and make the engine look 100xs better then why not? The stock plenum was never meant for show, the Crawford plenum is! I guess I am also the type of guy who wants to see what I paid for....

Yes I agree it's a beautiful piece, but I don't really plan on showing my car and can't see the value in appearance mods under my hood, and I especially don't want the dealer giving me a hard time in the event I actually need them to do something (and what a frightful day that will be =)

Logically, it doesn't matter how your car looks under the hood becuase no one sees it. Personally, I really care about how the car looks under the hood and in my opinion the plenums don't look good. I went to the crawford website and saw some pictures with the engine cover cut and it looks pretty good. Maybe I'll just do that.

I really like the new cast version. That is the one I'd go with if I were keeping my Coupe.
I had the original Crawford on my Coupe and loved it, but this one looks as good as it works too, and is less $$$$.
