My check engine soon light is on then my vsc and slip lights will turn on and either loss power or my car will completely die and I'll have to restart it again. Does anyone know what could be going on here and a fix for it? Thanks.

 

I had something similar. After getting fuses changed and a frayed wire fixed which was shorting out my electrical systems my alternator went down last week. Car threw up batter/e-brake lights for a few minutes then other lights came up and system started dying. Couldn't restart though.

Not sure if it helps, but fairly easy part to test to check it off the list of possibilities.

 

OP you need to get the code/s read. Post them up here and we can help a little better. I can say that the symptoms point to a bad camshaft position sensor or crank position sensor.

 

I'm guessing you have a cam phase sensor going out - but you will need to get the codes and post them up so we can offer more than a shot in the dark
