New Engine: Chik Chik noise
New Engine: Tick Tick noise
Hey guys,
I have a new engine about 8000 miles on it from the factory (warranty). I notice a chik chik chik sound, perhaps like a tick. I guess like a train, but not all that loud. I notice the sound walking closer to the front of the car, and when the hood is open. I hear the chatter that I guess the fuel injectors are making. But I still hear this consistent chik chik chik sound. It's on perfect beat, and does speed up with engine speed. Pushing the clutch in, didn't take the sound away. Most noticeable at idle after warmed up, sorta fades away when revved.
Is this normal? Er something wrong?
Thanks.

I had it checked out, nothings wrong with it. It was a subtle sound anyway. Its warrantied so if something happens down the line so be it, but it seems it was nothing. Seems a lot of ppl have this 'sound' issue, but then find out its nothing, and fail to report back. But I'm here to report back... it's nothing just valvetrain noise/fuel injectors, nothing to be alarmed.
