I agree. That's why I said he has to lose the weight and add all the bolt ons. That should get him around 310-320 bhp. If he lose 800 lb, that's make the car around 2500lb. I think even losing 500lb should be enough, since M3 is 333 HP & about 3300 lb. if we can get down to 2800lb,that's 280 HP and 2800lb. They should be comparable in performance.

yea, but i still think 500lbs would be difficult. im intested to know if anyone has taken that approach and i wonder how much weight they were able to remove.

everyone always overlooks performance, im dam* sure that with proper suspension and tuning u could knock off a few 1/10's of the 1/4. Tires also play a big part. Bolt ons will get u nowhere unless ur ready to shell out 10 grand which includes parts/labor/tuning. Is it possible to run 10's? Hell yea it is. But ur probably not gonna do it without a turbo.

That dude had to have been a bad driver or atleast had a bad run!! There are have been people getting under 14 second 1/4 miles on STOCK 6MT's!!

in fact, there isnt much a M3 E46 owner can do to make it much faster, except light weight/different engine/blow it up later with a SC.

They have 275 rwhp, you have about 250rwp. Do the math with power to weight ratio and the gearing.

I personally care that I could have just enough hp to keep the M3 off the straights in the track and G can handle itself in the corners.
My two friends have E46 M3s, we have yet to race even once against each other, because there is no point.

Hey Randy man, im dissapointed also with Stillen SC'ers and there was an auto Stillen sedan on sunday at our G35 meet, he wanted to race then i mentioned it but he left LOL!! Anyway i do agree witht he money put in the M3 will be a whole new beast topping out the G35 pretty bad, BUT hey your numbers are SICK and very impressive, that 13.2 can be brought down a lot i guarentee it and have full faith in your car and there is alot more that can be done to change that i bet, lose some weight on the car and with slicks you'll be in 12's without a doubt, but M3's believe it or not with back seats out and on stock tires are runnign high 12's also, i have videos of a professional driver pulling a 12.87 stock, then with pulleys and chip a 12.4 numerous times, i have them if youw ould like to see!

Now back on topic, Randy your car is insane and deserves much respect, in all honesty **** number and your 13.2, in a highway race that shi! doesnt matter and your G would prob pull like a BEAST and so hard man, i cant lie!

now for you, you are totally mislead, guided or whatever! The modding potential of an M3 is the SAME as a G35 without a doubt, believe it or not. You will get that 10-15 hp out of an intake, a porved 15-25 hp from a chip, add a lightweight flywheel 30 to the wheels which are claimed, pulleys work well, exhaust a good 15-20 with all of these, it all ties in together like witht he G35's... NOW and some Schrick cams and your boosting the engine alot on the M and a new 4.10 rear diff and your smoking a stock M3 even just witht hat and nothign else! On a track the G can hold its own, but stock for stock there is no comparison man, i mean both are great in their different ways, but the HP and TW in the M3 do not do its justice, w/e is done tot he car is totally different and FAST as ****, go drive one!

Show me a slip of a stock G35 doing sub 14's...I don't think so. I know DRIVERS who have bolt-ons that can barely hit 14.1...and LACR is a crap track and 2700 ft above sea level

Wes, I believe you were the Stillen Stage 3 I mentioned above. You had just installed the system and were pissed that a 13.8 (corrected based on LACR's corrections) was the best you were getting...what have you changed...except for the 55 shot? Great looking G, BTW.

I stand corrected. I did some looking and was unable to find proof of anything under 14. There were several instances of 14.1 on stock coupes but that was it. I found a few 13.9 people on stock 6MT's but of course no time slip so who actually knows. So for now, I withdraw my argument and say you are right.

I still maintain that guy was a bad driver or had a bad run though! :P

What the difference between 1, 2, and 3? Can you upgrade from a 1-3? I would just get a stage 1 then plan on upgrading.

If I can remember. I think I had the stock rear end(which now is replaced by the KAAZ lsd & nismo diff cooler).I sold my 19" rims & bought 18" ones with a little stickier tires(still street tires though). My intercooler wasn't functional with the fuse fried.
Not to mention it was 80+ deg outside & I only had two runs.
I know, excuses excuses. I'll make it out soon again.
