David,

How hard is it to install these? Any tuning required after install?

yeah.. any instructions on how to install the sparkplugs?
I onced install sparkplugs on my 2002 honda accord, it was really easy.. they're right on the top part of the engine.. so it's very visible.. but on g35.. I can't see where the sparkplugs are located.

Randy and Vic,
I'll be doing a step by step on changing the plugs. I'll post it or E-mail it
to you soon. As far as programming I recommend resetting the ECU after install of
the new plugs and driving the car like you stole it for 5 mins so the ECU car
learn the plugs.

Don't keep the DIY on plug changes secret! We need a published DIY on plug changing.

I do not want to steal this thread but are you going to degree in the plugs? I feel this is one very smart way of fine tuning an engine. This is a simple mod and can make a very big change on how your ECU reads your timing. Think about if one cylinder fires before the others and the ECU pick up detonation and retards the spark. If your ECU gives you just one/degree more timing trust me you will feel it. I always felt it was best to have the open side of the plug pointed to the exhaust valve. The plus side is you can always run a one step colder plug because all the plugs are running at the same temp. This is being very picky but at the price of 5/HP nowadays this is cheap. Check this out!!

I have done many spark plug changes on 4, 6 and 8 cylinder cars. The easiest I have done would be the Honda's and Acura's (as the plugs/wires are right on top). The hardest was on a V8 Olds Cutlass. I also changed plugs on a V6. I would imagine that since the VQ is a V6 that there would be 3 plugs on either side, easiest way to locate them is to follow the distributor cap and follow the wires to their home. I know to change plugs on some V6's you have to get 1 or more of the plugs from within the wheel well/fender as they are not too accessible under the hood. This can also be done from beneath the car. As I have not yet taken a close look at the wiring on the VQ I will jack her up tomorrow and try to post pics of plug locations to confirm.

pdjafari, the VQ35DE does not use a distributor and wires. It is a distributorless system. Each spark plug has its own individual coil pack.

Yeah, coming from a previous car that used a distributor and spark plug wires I was wondering where it was on our G's. Then I looked in the service manual and was pleasantly surprised.
