Oil on my air filter and other problems.

So last time I cleaned my air filter(about 3k miles ago) I noticed there was oil on it, washed it, and didn't really give to much importance to it, a few days ago, after driving hard on Tulsa streets racing lol, i went home and parked my baby, I noticed that when my engine is warm, I tried to start the car and the RPMs would drop and the car would die right away in the first try! second try it would stay on but in really low rpms (around 200?)
Cleaned the throttle body, and it seem like the problem of the low rpms was fixed,
but took a look at my air filter again and is full of oil.
Any ideas why this is going on?

I drive a 04 coupe 6MT about 100k miles

I'd start by checking your PCV valve. Is the oil on the outside of the filter or the inside of the filter? Is there oil in the tube?

Also, try cleaning your MAF with MAF cleaner. If you filter has oil on it I'd also bet your MAF does also.

If it's coming from the inside your PCV is probably the culprit. It's around $20 at Nissan if I recall correctly.

You never need to replace your PVC valve, shoot carb cleaner in both ends and shake it for a minute or two...blow it out you're done! Yea I know Noobs, what's carb cleaner?

Well, after removing the PVC valve , it wasn't dirty but I cleaned it anyways.
Still curious what could be the reason I get that oil on my filter.
