KOYO V-core radiator & Vortech plumbing?
Does anyone know if the KOYO V-core, 36mm radiator will provide enough clearance (with the stock fan shroud) for the piping of the Vortech kit?
I installed the radiator this past weekend along with numerous other cooling mods and just looking at it, it looks pretty tight.
The pipes are sent off for powder-coating, so I can not test fit, but as I said it does look pretty tight...
The reason I went with the KOYO V-core was due to it's description on their site. "Designed for applications where engine configuration/size cause clearances issues for thicker core radiators. In this case, the 36mm V-Core Series will suit your needs."
I searched and only came up with people suggesting this radiator, slim fans for others or any radiator upgrade for that matter. It fits like a glove and install went very smooth so I am very happy there. Let me know guys. As always, Thanks!

I've installed a 36mm AMS radiator; heck I've even installed the 52mm big koyo with my Vortech setup. The trick is that you will need aftermarket slim fans in order to do this; don't even try and use the stock fans, although with a bit of plastic trimming you may be able to get the oem fans to fit with the 36mm, but I doubt it.

Talked to Coz over at CZP. He said it would work with no issues with the 36mm. The big Koyo would require a slim shroud and fans or extensive modification to the stock fan shroud.
I got the pipes back from my powder-coat guy to test fit it as he is just down the street. At first I thought there was no way, but after removing the crossover coolant hose bracket, disconnecting the drivers side cam connector, dropping the front sway bar, loosening a oil line plumbed under the crank pulley and snipping off a fan wire harness tab on the shroud; I got it the drop in from the top with some effort. So it will work. Tight fit, but still enough clearance to work properly. Vortech seriously did a terrific job with the bends!
