My engine has had a ticking noise for sometime now. It happens at start up and when getting on it, mainly in the higher RPM range. The ticking is more frequent the higher the rpm's go. I have a feeling this is timing chain tensioner related but I am unsure, i will try to get a video of the noise up later this evening if possible. I have no noticeable loss in power if that helps at all. I've seen where there is a cover that reveals the tensioner by itself so i figure it won't be difficult to change on my own and since I'm in the process of trying to sell the car i would like to get this issue fixed beforehand.

Lifters maybe? Every car I have had that has "ticking" it has been the lifters. Anyone else agree?
