G35 coupe engine swap

So i just recently got 2005 engine auto put on my 2004 g35 coupe Automatic..engine is good but the car starts to idle low when i stop and vdc/slip lights come on at random times. Do u think i have to tune my car? or do i have to get a 2005 Engine Computer module?

You put a Revup engine in? Sorry to break it to you man, but 2005 and 2004 are completely different engines. At a minimum you will need a 05 revup ecu. Also the 05 engine uses wideband 02 sensors so you will need to change them as well. The revup engine has 4 cam sensors out back, as well as positioning sensors up front on the front timing cover (blue and green plug) that the 04 DE does not have. I am willing to bet, whoever installed the engine never connected any of them.

+1. There are many factors involved here, we really need more info from the OP before we even begin guessing whats wrong.

If the engine that went into the car was from an 05 automatic it will bolt right in and hook right up. If it was from a 6MT it will not. You can still make it work, its just not a perfect fit

I mean a perfect fit for his setup... lets not debate semantics.

It will drop in and bolt right up, but not all the connectors will plug in like they would on a non-revup engine

I assumed it was a manual revup. If it was an 05 auto, he wouldn't have had any issues. Now that I think about it, you would need to swap your instrument cluster as well.

they did a diagnostic and nothing came up. i even took it to fire stone cause a buddy of mine works there and ran it through the computer and nothing. the only thing i can think of is take it to inifiniti but they charge up the *** just to run a diagnostic is $120 bucks

It could be as simple as one connector not plugged. I'd check and make sure all wires are in their proper spots first
