Sticking Clutch

Hello, so I sporadically have the sticky clutch issue. I'm sure most of you have encountered this issue and I've been doing a bunch of research on what the issue might be. Yes, I've googled this and search many possibly ways I could and have only seen 3 different options and am not sure if anyone has found the problem. The first time this occurred it was on a hot day and the clutch almost dropped to the floor. But I just had it happen at night on a 10 minute drive and now it has me confused. The 3 different troubleshoots I've read have been bleeding the system and using DOT 4, replacing the master & slave cylinder, and moving the brake line away from the cat so that it doesn't heat up. The only troubleshoot that actually had a reason to why it is happening, is that the cat gets too hot heating up the fluid cause it to stick. For the master and slave cylinder people just assume that since the clutch is sticking it must be the cylinders, and bleeding the system people claim that the fluid is bad/old and needs to be flushed. Anyone find a right fix for this issue, because it came to my attention that if this issue happened to the point where I couldn't switch gears, I don't think that would be very safe haha, so if there were any thread that solved the issue that would be great. Thanks!

I had this problem. What I read is that the old, dirty fluid wears away the seals of the master/slave cylinders. So we need to routinely replace fluid as preventative maintenance.

First change the clutch fluid (Valvoline synthetic is available anywhere, pretty high temp). If that doesn't fix it, then replace master/slave cylinders. I ordered them from a local Napa or Carquest store (can't remember which) but the part was exact OEM even though it came in a weird brand box and was 2/3 the price. Then do the fluid again. Mine's been fine... but I've also read the Nissan clutch pedal bracket is crappy.
