G35 hard to start when cold
G35 hard to start when cold
My 2003 G35 sedan has difficulties starting when it has been sitting. When the engine is warmed up it starts right up. It often takes several cranks to start when cold and I don't know what to check further. I scanned the car and it has no codes, it gets good mileage and power, I changed the spark plugs which I was sure would fix it, I changed the air filter, but the problem remains.

Sounds like a camshaft position sensor or crank position sensor is going bad. Those are common issues on our cars and will often start to fail before you get a SES. Take the car to an auto parts store to see if they can pull any codes. Read the thread right below this one, it'll explain a little better what I'm talking about.
