if you have any mods, then i would absolutely not do it... ebay isnt a trustworthy place for vehicle specific stuff or high quality stuff.... our engines are not reliably able to be tuned without being on a dyno... flash tunes are garbage... theres a 50/50 chance if you have mods that this "tune" could severely lean out your car... theres a member on 6mt.net that even got an etune from uprev, who is a very prestigious VQ tuning company, and it had his car running at 17:1 afr i believe... that is dangerous. that high of an afr could cause severe detonation from extremely high temps in the combustion chamber..... in the end it is up to you, but i personally wouldnt buy ANYTHING off ebay that isnt name brand or authentic.... possible repair costs are just not worth the risk to save a few bucks, cuz it will cost much more down the road... but if for some reason you do do it, id highly recommend installing an afr gauge so you can keep an eye on things... the AEM wideband is reliable since it gives a digital readout instead of the sweeping light reading

Absolutely no reason to use these guys when you can get an Uprev reflash.. Never even heard of them and I've been doing this for a while. An Uprev reflash will make a noticeable difference tho. PM me if you have any questions about it.

Bullsh@t. As long as its an 04 or newer with factory widebands you can tune it very well with datalogs and just reflashing, no dyno. Also there is no way in hell that he was running 17:1 AFR.. no matter how incompetent the person was who did the etuning it would be hard to mess it up that bad.

You can datalog and record the A/F ratio in real time with Uprev's software

i'm not bull****ing you... he sent in for an etune for his setup with the kinetix ssv manifold... he drove it for a while then ultimately ended up getting it dyno tuned with uprev, and it was reading 18:1(just did a search on 6mt to verify) during the baseline(im not sure how much of the powerband though) his name is ninja, you can look it up yourself

I know the thread you're referencing and I know the member as well. Everything I said still stands, I've tuned a ton of VQ's both on and off the dyno, and if what he said is true then I can almost guarantee you there's something else going on that we don't know about, and his etunes are garbage no exceptions viewpoint is just ignorant and misinformed
